We were greatly impressed with the standard of the final entrants in the “Search For A Fashion Star” competition, which made selecting a winner just that bit tougher. Here are the finalists!
Chinyere Feasey sketched some great entry images in shocking pink and blue, unfortunately the white version she submitted to the finals was not quite as striking the judges felt.
Carl Starling was inspired by sea urchins and his dress in black and white gingham was loved by all the judges, although they felt the length may have worked better shorter.
Alexandra Groover is another designer we tip for the top, her directional collection in cotton jersey and sweatshirt fabric was totally wearable and the dress - seen above - looked great worn with cherry sheer tights.
Alison Gaukroger went for a 80s inspired power suit and we all loved this look. Great attention to detail and many judges commented about the great hit of lime green on the bodice.
Raquel Sosa’s directional yet simple navy, body-con design with topstitched panels and an exposed zip is a dress many of the judges wanted to wear.
Alina Cosma went with a stand collar and metallic buttons to add interest to her striking black dress. Another very wearable design that grabbed the judges attention.
